Position: Special Needs Teacher/Support Worker to Accompany a Five-Year-Old Child
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday during term time

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Needs Teacher/Support Worker to provide dedicated support to a five-year-old child diagnosed with autism. This role involves accompanying the child to a private school in Birmingham, ensuring their educational and personal needs are met in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accompany the child to and from school each day.
* Provide individualized support throughout the school day, focusing on the child’s specific needs.
* Implement strategies and activities to assist with speech and language development, as well as sensory and occupational therapy needs.
* Foster social skills and promote positive interactions with peers.
* Collaborate with the child’s teachers and therapists to ensure a cohesive approach to the child’s education.
* Monitor the child’s progress and adapt support strategies as necessary.
* Communicate effectively with parents to update them on the child’s development and any concerns.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience in special education.
* Proven experience working with children with autism and special educational needs.
* Knowledge of speech and language development and occupational therapy practices.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
