We are on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager to take the lead at a specialist complex care service in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
This service supports adults aged 18–65 with a range of complex needs, including bariatrics (which make up the majority of residents), acquired brain injury (ABI), tracheostomy care and Dementia.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Manager with excellent leadership, management, and organisational skills, capable of leading a large team in a growing and ambitious service.
Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:
1. Provide leadership and supervision to a staff team of over 80, including 14 nurses.
2. Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care at all times.
3. Work proactively with Local Authorities, commissioners, families, and other stakeholders.
4. Oversee budget management and ensure financial performance of the service.
5. Ensure full compliance with CQC and raise standards where required.
6. Support ongoing service growth and expansion, including new apartment schemes.
7. Participate in the on-call rota, shared between four members of the leadership team.
Registered Manager Requirements:
8. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management.
9. Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
10. Experience of managing complex care services (bariatrics, Dementia, ABI, tracheostomy desirable).
11. Experience working in sizeable residential homes.
12. Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
13. Financial and operational management experience within a care setting.
14. Ability to manage, develop and inspire a large staff team.
