Job Description:

Our purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. For over 100 years, bp has focused on discovering, developing, and producing oil and gas in the nations where we operate. We are one of the few companies globally that can provide governments and customers with an integrated energy offering. Delivering our strategy sustainably is fundamental to achieving our ambition to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner.

About the role

The Supply Coordinator reports to the Biofuels Value Chain Optimisation Manager, UK and is responsible for managing inland supply and optimisation to deliver best in class compliance with the UK Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation and maximum commercial advantage for bp.

This is a dynamic role, enabling the building of deep commercial acumen in the fascinating and ever-evolving world of biofuels and low carbon, working truly cross-business to explore, develop and deliver in the low carbon space as we strive for net zero by 2050. This opportunity will put you at the heart of Fuel Supply & Midstream (FS&M) activities in the UK and as part of a wider European biofuels team.

The role will be based in the Milton Keynes office with potentially 1 day per week in Canary Wharf when required.

What you’ll be doing

* Deliver best in class compliance with the UK Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation at lowest cost to maximise the margin for the business.

* Support negotiation of best-in-class biofuel pricing optionality and margin opportunity in third party hydrocarbon supply contracts, running deal economics and providing Subject Matter Expert input.

* Manage the optimisation of inland third-party supply contracts to maximise margin for the business, working closely with RPT ST&S to understand market calls and risk-manage pricing exposure.

* Lead and pro-actively develop the one team working relationship and approach between the inland (FS&M) and trading teams (RPT)

* Ensure reliable and resilient inland supply of biofuels through negotiation of purchase contracts and seek further margin opportunities via supply sales.

* Analyse performance of the UK Inland biofuels business - delivering monthly financial forecasting versus Plan and assessment of opportunities and vulnerabilities, working with Finance to ensure full understanding of performance drivers and any unexpected deviations.

* Act as a key operational interface with internal and external stakeholders, actively managing our compliance position, deal transactions and undertaking the quarterly verification process to claim Renewable Transport Fuel Certificates from the UK Government.

* Maintain bpOUK's ISCC certification and Zemo RFAS membership by leading the arrangement and completion of the annual audit process.

* Support the digitalisation agenda, providing Subject Matter Expert input, and drive simplification of processes.

You experience might include:

* Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced commercial, operational or financial environment

* Knowledge of supply, midstream, refining or trading

* Managing external relationships and negotiation

* Enthusiasm and ability to build and maintain productive working partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

* Highly numerate with analytical strength to be able to take complex inputs and assimilate clear insights.

* Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex scenarios to others clearly and concisely and build consensus and engagement across teams.

* Self-starter, highly efficient and capable to prioritise workload and deliverables to achieve maximum impact.

* Ability to make proposals, take decisions where appropriate and influence others.

* Demonstrable commercial drive and energy to push the business forward and capitalise on opportunities, removing or overcoming obstacles with the support of the wider network.
