The trust are recruiting a new technical architect with the primary focus being end user computing. This is to both assist and lead designing, implementing and managing the technology used by the trusts end-users in line with the current and future digital strategy.
Working with our senior Technical Architects, this role will is key in enabling end users to perform their role as efficiently in an always on clinical and wider organisational setting. The role will help shape the decisions on future technology used throughout the trust.
The EUC environment is constantly evolving, as such this is a crucial role in working to create a secure, productive and user-friendly digital workplace for the trusts end users.
This role will join the architecture team, which is part of the Infrastructure team within the Digital Services department. The wider infrastructure team is responsible for the Trusts' network, server and cloud environments.
This role will be based in the recently re-furbished Seaton Delaval offices and will benefit from hybrid working. To ensure priorities, objectives and team culture are achieved and maintained.
Reporting to the Lead Technical Architect joining a technical architecture team, you will be responsible for the infrastructure implementation, availability and development of servers, cloud infrastructure and end user complete architecture.
Assist on designing, documenting and implementing the architecture setup for the trust's server, cloud and end-user compute infrastructure.
Diagnose, investigate, plan and implement infrastructure projects to improve uptime, system availability and resilience.

* Both lead and assist on designing, documenting and implementing the architecture setup for the trust's cloud and end-user compute (EUC) infrastructure.
* To work on digital infrastructure projects through the stages of inception to completion.
* Monitoring the performance of servers and network systems to identify any issues.
* Perform analysis on networks, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications and devices.
* Working closely across other teams throughout the trust to ensure any project work and changes are in the interest of all parties. Also, they are in accordance with IG, Clinical safety and security procedures.
* Use levels of expertise to research and plan the required technical solutions, in line with the trust's digital strategy, and implement to published and Trust guided best practices.
* Responsible for proactive research, planning and reviewing new and current system structures used at the trust.
* Serve as a key escalation point for complex EUC issues and drive root cause analysis.
* Assist in preparing documentation, including SOPs and knowledge base articles for internal use.
* Departmental responsibility for outage escalations across on-premises Infrastructure, cloud-based infrastructure and end-user compute technology.
* To ensure high availability, security and usability of the infrastructure in place that is transparent to users and ensure Service Level Agreements are in place
* Part of the CITI 24/7 365 best endeavours callout rota for emergencies that relate to digital system downtime.
* Uses their up-to-date knowledge of EUC technology to identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reliability and flexibility in line with the trust's strategies and principles.
* A member of the digital services call out rota within the skills discipline.
