The Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner is a visible and operational post ensuring that the Trust meets its requirements to promote the welfare of adults at risk within the Making Safeguarding Personal philosophy.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver a programme of education and training for staff in line with statutory requirements, policy, procedure and learning from case reviews.
* Support staff, providing advice on safeguarding issues, referral to partner safeguarding services and offering supervision for case discussion and reflection.
* Support the Head of Safeguarding to monitor and improve standards of care by providing safeguarding advice and support to staff Trust Wide.
* Lead the promotion of good professional practice for safeguarding adults, providing specialist advice and expertise on a daily basis to Trust staff.
* Act as the Nominated Enquirer for relevant safeguarding concerns raised by external agencies (Local Authority/CQC).
* Contribute to the development and facilitation of Safeguarding training and supervision for identified Trust Staff.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical practitioner with the ability to organise own workload in a changing environment and work autonomously within a team.
