Unit Role: 71 Engineer Regiment is responsible for training Royal Engineer Army Reservists to deliver generalist combat engineering capabilities in support of the British Army and Defence objectives, as part of 8 Engineer Brigade within the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC). The Regiment develops and maintains highly skilled personnel and expertise to enable mobility, counter-mobility, survivability, and infrastructure development on operations and exercises worldwide, ensuring readiness for mass mobilisation if required. Responsibilities: 1. Deliver and advise on all aspects of G4 support within the sub-unit, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with mandated standards. 2. Manage the acquisition, maintenance, and accountability of all equipment and stores within the sub-unit. 3. Oversee the management and day-to-day control of all sub-unit G4 accounts, ensuring readiness for inspection. 4. Liaise with the QM/RQMS to verify completion and accurate recording of all mandatory G4 checks. 5. Lead on inspections and assurance: prepare the sub-unit for all ECI, LSI, and SHEF inspections, ensuring compliance. 6. Maintain accurate records and evidence to demonstrate compliance during assurance audits and implement corrective actions promptly. 7. Assist and support in planning and execution of individual and collective training within the sub-unit. 8. Lead, coordinate, and mentor SQMS(R), ADC, and civilian G4 staff, including completion of appraisal reports. 9. Liaise with HRFCA for Reserve betterment initiatives and manage contractor engagement as required. 10. Act as Environmental Waste and Energy Warden for the sub-unit. 11. Serve as Squadron Radiation Officer, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. 12. Act as the 4Cs custodian for the ARC.
