The role is primarily field-based. Ideally, you will be located in or around the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees to cover regions including North East, North, and North West, with flexibility to cover other areas as needed. You will be part of a team of SHE Advisors reporting to the H&S Manager.

The Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor role involves:
1. Conducting site and scaffold inspections at Ian Williams Limited worksites
2. Monitoring compliance with procedures, risk assessments, and legal requirements, and reporting findings
3. Building relationships across all levels of the business to foster cooperation
4. Influencing safety behaviours to promote good health and safety management
5. Providing advice, guidance, and training on health, safety, and environmental matters
6. Undertaking incident investigations and annual audits of local offices
Ideal candidates will have:
1. Experience in a health and safety role or working towards a career in this field
2. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving
3. A commitment to health and safety
4. Attention to detail and ownership of work
5. Curiosity and the ability to ask questions respectfully
6. Problem-solving skills and willingness to pursue further qualifications
7. Proficiency with IT systems
8. A full, clean UK driver’s license
