GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behavioural Specialist to work within a nurturing and inclusive school setting. You will play a key part in supporting pupils who require additional behavioural interventions, helping them build confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in behaviour mentoring, SEN support, youth work, social care, or for those passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored behaviour interventions as a Behavioural Specialist to pupils needing additional support.
* Deliver 1:1 and small-group sessions focused on emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and decision-making skills.
* Implement behaviour plans and pastoral support programmes.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
* Use restorative approaches to encourage positive behaviour and conflict resolution.
* Maintain a calm, safe, and supportive environment for all pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working as a Behavioural Specialist, behaviour mentor, youth worker, or similar role.
* Strong communication, de-escalation, and rapport-building skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
* Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
* A genuine interest in supporting pupils with behavioural challenges.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
