Overview
An Outstanding secondary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join their vocational department. This is a rewarding opportunity to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and compassion needed for a career in the health and social care sector. This is a full-time, permanent Health and Social Care Teacher position (paid on the MPS/UPS scale).
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Health and Social Care, primarily to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.
* Cover a range of topics, including health and well-being, social care provision, communication skills, and ethical considerations.
* Prepare students for BTEC and/or other vocational qualifications in Health and Social Care.
* Develop students\' practical skills and understanding of real-world care settings.
* Foster empathy, respect, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Teach at an Outstanding school.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A degree in Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field.
* Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level, preferably including BTEC.
* Ideally, some practical experience working in a health or social care setting (desirable, but not always essential).
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
