Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor Water Sector Contractor (Hybrid Working) We are working with a leading UK water sector contractor delivering key infrastructure and utilities projects across the country. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate or experienced Commercial Administrator or Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop a long-term career in Quantity Surveying. The role offers structured training, strong career progression, and full support towards a recognised QS qualification, including apprenticeship routes where applicable. The position offers hybrid working, combining office, site, and remote flexibility depending on project requirements. Key Responsibilities Supporting cost reporting, valuations, and financial forecasting Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors, materials, and services Monitoring variations and assisting with change control processes Preparing applications for payment and monthly commercial reporting Supporting subcontract administration, payments, and final accounts Assisting with cost/value reconciliation and project reporting Attending site visits and internal commercial meetings Candidate Profile Degree in Quantity Surveying or working towards a qualification (or interest via apprenticeship route) Background in construction, utilities, or commercial administration is desirable Strong numerical and organisational skills Keen interest in the water/utilities or civil engineering sector Ambitious, detail-focused, and eager to develop professionally
