Aureos are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor within the energy division, based in our Preston Brook office and working on a large energy Framework.
As part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays a key role in delivering commercial results, including project delivery, commercial reporting, and profit maximisation. This role suits an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to advance or an established Quantity Surveyor seeking stability and longevity.
* Assist the commercial team in supporting contract delivery to maximise profitability, cash management, cost control, and accurate reporting.
* Provide input into the application and credit control processes.
* Develop income forecasts and price variations.
* Use the change control system and manage project risk.
* Generate cost variance reports (CVRs) and conduct cost-to-complete/budget reviews.
* Handle the full subcontract cycle and related documentation.
* Upload documentation as required.
* Review weekly site records, including allocation sheets and site diaries.
* Attend project progress meetings.
* Assist in preparing monthly financial performance reports.
* Ensure that the group commercial policies are adhered to and that the legislative requirements are met.
* Manage commercial performance against business targets and KPI’s.
* Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to drive continuous improvement.
* Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement and best practice across the client base.
* Use key lean tools to drive efficiencies and reduce waste.
* Encourage, support and assist with the delivery of successful collaborative planning with the contract delivery teams.
* Commit to professional development, both personally and for others within the Business Unit.
* Other tasks appropriate to the role of Quantity Surveyor, as identified by the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Managing Surveyor.
