We are working with a growing technology business looking to appoint a commercially driven Business Development Manager to focus heavily on new business generation and revenue growth. This role is very much aimed at somebody who enjoys the front end of sales such as identifying opportunities, starting conversations, building relationships, and converting prospects into long-term clients.
The company operates within the digital/content technology space, working with well-known brands and organisations
This is not an account management role disguised as sales. They are specifically looking for somebody who is proactive, target-driven, and genuinely enjoys developing new business opportunities.
What you will be doing:
Proactively identifying and winning new business opportunities
Building outbound sales strategies and generating leads through networking, LinkedIn, research, and outreach
Developing relationships with prospective clients across target markets
Managing the full sales process from initial conversation through to close
Delivering tailored presentations and solution demonstrations
Working closely with internal teams on proposals and commercial discussions
Attending client meetings, networking events, and industry events
Keeping Salesforce updated with accurate pipeline and forecasting information
Staying aware of market trends, competitor activity, and commercial opportunities
What they are looking for:
Strong new business / business development experience
A genuine hunter mentality with a proactive approach to sales
Experience within SaaS, publishing, media, content, or technology environments
Comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience managing a sales pipeline and working towards revenue targets
Confident using CRM systems such as Salesforce
Someone commercially aware, motivated, and self-sufficient
Additional information:
Hybrid working typically two days per week in the office
Some travel required for meetings and events
Occasional flexibility required outside standard working hours for networking/client events
Flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates
