Sales Manager – Food Industry
Location: Central Scotland (Field-Based 3–4 Days/Week)
Occasional Overnight Travel Required
This reputable, well-established business that is part of a global organisation, is looking for a results-driven Account Manager to manage around 160 accounts across Central Scotland, focusing on sales growth, margin delivery, and customer mix. You'll strengthen existing relationships while driving new business across your territory.
This super varied and interesting role will see you perform a range of key responsibilities including:
* Managing and growing a portfolio of existing customers
* Driving new business through targeted prospecting
* Hitting targets for gross margin, sales volume, and product mix
* Building strong internal relationships (Telesales, Technical, Credit, Logistics)
* Ensuring timely and accurate reporting and admin
* Supporting forecasting
* Providing Telesales cover when needed (i.e. during absences/holidays etc).
You Will Have:
* 2+ years in sales, ideally in the food industry
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
* Self-motivation with excellent time management
* Strong IT skills, especially with Excel and presentations
* Experience of planning and managing field visits
* The ability to present confidently up to board level
* Resilience, with a positive, results-focused mindset
* Proven ability to build and influence relationships.
* A team player with a customer-first attitude
