Paisley Site Services are looking for a Business Development Manager who will be tasked with driving sales growth and profitability through excellence in customer service and technical solutions. This position is responsible for formulating and executing strategic business development initiatives to expand market share, enhance customer relationships, and maximise revenue streams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement division-specific business development strategies in alignment with overall Industrial divisional goals and objectives.
• Key Account Management: Define nominated key accounts and understand the process for hose management surveys. Be responsible for the profitable growth of nominated key accounts.
• CRM: Be responsible for updating Sales vision CRM system daily, detailing call objectives, visit outcomes, competitor activity and updating contact details.
• Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis. Report accordingly to managers with feedback.
• Customer Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers and partners to understand their needs and align business strategies accordingly.
• Sales Growth: Drive sales and revenue growth through the development and execution of sales and marketing plans, including pricing strategies and product positioning. Ensure all quotations are followed up and recorded on CRM in a timescale that is agreed with the General Manager
• New Business Development: Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions to expand the division's market penetration.
• Comply with company health safety policies and procedures and, as applicable, ensure safe use and maintenance of all equipment and fully utilise all safety items within the legal and H&S requirements.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Industry Experience: Significant progressive experience in sales and business development within the Industrial hose & couplings sector or a related field.
• Business Development Skills: Demonstrated track record of driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and successfully closing deals.
• Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of hose & coupling applications, product ranges, and manufacturing processes.
• Customer-Focused: A customer-centric approach with a strong ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Results-Driven: A self-motivated and results-oriented professional with a drive to achieve and exceed targets.

The post holder will be required to travel within the region, so will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
