Your new companyYou'll be joining a well-established property services team dedicated to maintaining a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties across Portsmouth. Known for delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service, the team prides itself on providing a reliable, friendly and professional maintenance service to the local community. Your new roleAs a Multi-Trade Operative, you'll carry out a wide range of day-to-day maintenance tasks, repairs and minor works across occupied and void properties. Your work will involve a blend of trades such as carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical work, plastering, tiling and general building maintenance.Typical duties include:
* Completing reactive repairs and scheduled maintenance
* Delivering high-quality workmanship with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction
* Working independently while also supporting wider team projects
* Ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting of completed tasks
* Providing excellent service when engaging with tenants, clients and colleagues
No two days are the same, and the role offers great variety for someone who enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving.What you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, you should have:
* Demonstrable experience in at least two core trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, basic electrics)
* A strong understanding of property maintenance and repair methods
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* A full UK driving licence
* A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to delivering quality work
* To start ASAP
