The Factory Core Team / Component Program Management team under Product and Strategic Operation Management organization drives product and supply–demand decisions across Seagate’s global factories to achieve business goals. We collaborate closely with the Design Center, Seagate global factories to launch new products and optimize manufacturing ramps, ensuring supply responds effectively to customer demand.
We also support Seagate’s global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align long range inventory strategies with the business plan. This includes balancing demand and supply choices, reconciling top down financial objectives with bottom up operational realities, and preparing scenario based analyses to support S&OP decision making.
About the role - you will:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Analysis Intern to join our team for an 11 month placement, commencing 6th July 2026 and finishing 25th June 2027.
In this role, you will work across project management, operational planning, scenario modelling, and cross functional alignment activities that support product launches, supply demand processes, and S&OP planning cycles. You will gain hands on experience working with engineering, operations, PLM, and supply chain teams.
You Will:
• Support product launch readiness, operational planning, and project coordination across multiple functions.
• Assist in tracking project progress, updating action items, and helping teams maintain alignment to key milestones.
• Prepare presentations and communication materials to support S&OP processes, planning reviews, and cross functional discussions.
• Conduct analysis of product, supply, and demand data to support scenario evaluation and operational decision making.
• Support process documentation, reporting improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in planning meetings, collect inputs from stakeholders, and help prepare materials for monthly S&OP cycles.

About you:
• Currently studying a STEM discipline, preferably Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• Strong analytical thinker, comfortable working with complex datasets, trends, and scenario modelling.
• Curious and structured in problem solving, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear steps.
• Effective communicator with strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Self motivated and able to work proactively in a fast paced, cross functional environment.
• Interested in product development, operations strategy, supply–demand planning, and data driven decision making.
Your experience includes:
• Progress toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or related technical field).
• Demonstrated experience using analytical or modelling tools such as Excel (advanced), Python, R, or similar analytical environments (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to interpret data, extract trends, and present findings clearly to support decision making.
• Familiarity with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or a willingness to learn them.
• Experience in structured problem solving, root cause thinking, or data driven analysis (through coursework or projects).
• Ability to communicate insights clearly, summarize complex information, and work effectively in project based teams.
Placement Details
• Full time, 39 hours per week, on site in Springtown, Derry/Londonderry.
• Start date: Monday, 6th July 2026
• End date: Friday, 25th June 2027
• You must be eligible to live and work in the UK without the need for Seagate sponsorship.
