Timber Window / Door Surveyor required for a Joinery sub contractor covering London projects.
Permanent position.
Purpose:
Responsibility for the measurement of the joinery projects whilst achieving standards and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
To undertake measured site surveys for timber windows, timber doorsets including Fire Rated doorsets and record in an agreed template
To ensure measurement data is captured accurately as these will be conveyed directly to joinery production team.
To consider requirements and logistics for site set up
To ensure clients health and safety requirements are met while carrying out works on site whilst giving full consideration Documentation
To be familiar with client requirements and Spec
To work closely with Client Managers, Sales / Estimating, Factory & Contracts teams to clearly communicate requirements for each project.
To liaise with consultants and clients workforce involved in the project
To maintain site records and reports as required
To minute meetings as attended
To report all incidents, delays, defects, problems immediately to Contracts Manager
To solve problems proactively and as part of a committed Contracts team
To organise and attend site surveys with clients personnel eg. RLO’s and Site Managers.
To Manage survey programmes for projects
To Assist in the training of junior site surveyors.
To undertake any other tasks as directed by Contracts Manager or senior management.
Qualifications required:
Essential
Good educational attainment including min GCSE/equivalent Mathematics & English
CSCS / CSR card
Desirable:
Min HND qualification in construction related discipline eg Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering & Management.
Relevant Experience:
Essential:
At least 8 years industrial experience or minimum 5 years post graduate experience
Desirable:
Experience with joinery products
Previous use of Fieldwire or similar app based packages.
Skills and Competencies:

Excellent communicator
Confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and site teams
Strong IT skills and working experience on a range of IT packages
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
Current valid UK driving licence
Valid CSCS Card
