An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Highland at Lorn & Islands Hospital.
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic General Sonographer to join our small friendly team in providing a general ultrasound service to Lorn & Islands Hospital and across Argyll & Bute Health & Social Care Partnership. Our ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic and innovative approach to teamwork and preferably with previous NHS experience.
The Lorn & Islands Hospital is a busy Rural General Hospital in Oban covering a large geographical area. It has a 24-hour Emergency Department, with CT scanner, and there is an on-call commitment to provide a 24/7 service at night and weekends.
You should have a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration, in addition, you must have a Specialist Ultrasound qualification to master's level or equivalent/post graduate certificate in general ultrasound. We support CPD and role development, with Advanced Practice within the Department.
The post allows living and working in stunning surroundings Oban is known as the gateway to the Western Isles and a hub for outdoor pursuits of all kinds, with good schools, a thriving music and arts scene, and only 2 hours from Glasgow International Airport.
