We're JDS Gardening - a young, ambitious team based in Roslin.
Ten years ago, Josh Dow started this business with nothing but a lawnmower and a dream. Today, we've got 15 full-time field staff, a buzzing landscaping division, and big plans for 2025: new yard, new e-commerce sites, new opportunities.
We're growing fast - and we want brilliant people to grow with us.
The Role
You'll be part of a small, friendly crew working across beautiful gardens and commercial sites. No two days are the same.
Rain or shine, you'll be outdoors, getting stuck in and making spaces look their best.
Your day-to-day might include:
* Mowing lawns like a pro
* Strimming and hedge trimming
* Pruning shrubs and maintaining flower beds
* Keeping gardens weed-free and looking sharp
* Applying herbicides (PA1 & PA6 holders, we love you)
Who We're Looking For
* You love working outdoors (even when it rains a bit - this is Scotland after all)
* You're a team player who gets the job done
* You've got a full UK Driving License (preferred)
* You've used garden machinery before - or you're keen to learn
* You're friendly, reliable, and good with clients
* You want to build a career, not just punch a clock
Experience in gardening or landscaping is a bonus, but if you've got the right attitude, we'll teach you the skills.
Licences:
* Clean and full Driving License (Preferred)
* PA1 & PA6 (Preferred)
Preferred Skillset:
* Strong horticultural knowledge
* Experience in all horticultural equipment.
* Enhanced communication and organisational skills.
* A willingness to learn new things.
* Time management and planning.
* A positive attitude to execute, deliver and succeed in all aspects of life.
* To listen carefully and liaise with clients.
Experience:
* Gardener: 1-3 years (preferred but not essential)
* Landscaping experience (preferred but not essential)
Qualifications/Education:
* NC in Horticulture/Landscaping (Preferred).
* HNC in Horticulture/Landscaping (Preferred).
Job Type: This position is a full time role.

£ £13.50 p/h
