What we are looking for:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a residential children’s home
* Direct knowledge and experience of Ofsted inspections and expectations and a history of obtaining Good and/or Outstanding ratings
* Excellent communication skills and an initiative-taking approach to all tasks
* Robust leadership skills
* Possession of the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or equivalent)
* A role model for all Esland values
* A flexible approach to working
* A full UK driving license and the ability to travel across our homes
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Regional Manager with management of the Registered Managers within the designated region
* Creating and maintaining quality services and long-term placements
* Ensuring that any home with a vacancy for a Registered Manager is able to run smoothly and without disruption to deliver continuity of service and care
* Management of budgets – including staffing and maintenance resources
* Ensuring that staff are recruited and trained according to company policy and relevant legalisation
* Ensuring that the homes have the correct resources and environment in which children can develop
* Ensuring that all Esland policies and procedures are implemented and are followed at all times
* Ensuring that all young people experience a placement experience that is personalised to their particular needs, identified through a robust assessment system and placement matching
* Keeping effective records, monitoring progress and taking appropriate action to ensure service delivery
* Conducting staff evaluation & regular supervisions with Registered Managers
* Liaising with external support agencies
* Developing a Regional Development Plan and individual Personal Development Plans for all managers and ensuring their implementation
