Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to work to high standards of safety and accountability as you collect and deliver medical devices to and from wards and clinical areas and undertake technical servicing on medical equipment. You will have a key role in within the team to ensure that work is carried out in a safe and effective manner, thus ensuring that work schedules are completed on time and in line with the planned preventative maintenance required on the Trust's and Non Trust medical equipment.
This is a demanding and challenging role requiring frequent but varied physical effort. The post involves regular communication with the nursing staff who request and return devices and with company representatives from suppliers who loan devices to the Trust.
The posts will be based at Hull Royal Infirmary and offers an opportunity to work as part of a highly experienced team. As part of your career development we will assess and monitor your training needs and ensure that you undertake appropriate training., Provide technical support and assistance to the Clinical Engineering equipment management service.
Special responsibility, under managed supervision, to support and assist the service and repair work activities of the medical equipment support teams.
Responsible for organising own workload.
About the Clinical Engineering Team
The Clinical Engineering Team is part of the Medical Physics Department within Humber Health Partnership NHS Trust. We provide whole life equipment management services for the range of medical equipment in use across the Trust and also in external organisations who procure our services. We have 24 members of staff based in workshops at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital sites., The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world‑class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.
