About the role:
You will support the Planning & Strategy Manager in the development and execution of plans (both tactical and strategic) while working with key partners and stakeholders, providing analysis and insight to ensure data-driven decision-making.
You will also take a lead role within projects for the team to help the function to deliver an agile, efficient store distribution service and a home delivery capability to support our growth plans.
Key Responsibilities (Day to day duties):
Including but not limited to
1. Create and manage detailed operational budget models and ongoing operational forecasts in conjunction with Finance BP’s.
2. In conjunction with the budget and operational models, develop and maintain a detailed DC capacity module to manage space allocation and usage by trading world & category
3. Proactively work with the merchandise managers to ensure space occupancy is within agreed limits and agree remedial activities where occupancy is breached.
4. Work with the merchandising, freight forwarders and DC operations teams to create and facilitate the execution of robust weekly Inbound plans, Reporting progress and variances to the plan to key stakeholders (Merchandising / Operations)
5. Conduct ad-hoc analysis and modeling as required to support the function and wider business providing insight to ensure data-driven actions are taken.
6. Work with key stakeholders and IT & BI Business partners to scope and support the simplification & automation of business processes and the development of Power BI reports
Who we're looking for:
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
7. Proven experience within a retail lead supply chain and distribution network, specifically in a Planning & Analysis capacity and a strong knowledge of warehouse & logistics operations.
8. Highly Analytical individual with an adaptable approach to a fast-paced changing retail landscape.
9. A proactive individual with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
10. Strong IT Skills including Advanced Excel, Power BI,
Location: We operate a hybrid working policy which means you will be based out of our Milton Keynes Store Support Centre and you decide with your manager and team what works best for you and the role you do! If that means working from home for part of the week, then you can work from home. If you prefer to come into the office full-time, or work from one of our stores or distribution centers then you're welcome to do that if you wish!
For this particular role, we will need you to work from our Milton Keynes office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week. This may be slightly more (up to 4 days per week) on rare occasions in the run-up to our peak seasons.
Salary: Up to £35,000 - £40,000 (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Perm
Working hours : 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday (8 am - 4 pm, OR 9 am - 5 pm) - flexible working arrangements, may be available, depending upon individual circumstances.
