Every young person deserves to feel safe, included, and empowered to succeed. At Nacro, we work with students who may have struggled in mainstream education — often due to SEND, safeguarding risks, or personal challenges.
Responsibilities
* What will I be doing as a Student Support & SEND Lead?
* As a Student Support & SEND Lead, you’ll be a consistent, trusted adult guiding students through barriers and back into learning.
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead within your centre
* Lead on EHCP reviews and oversee the delivery of inclusive SEND support
* Collaborate with Programme Leaders, Local Authorities, families, and external professionals
* Line manage Learning Support Assistants and help create a nurturing, respectful learning culture
Qualifications and What We Are Looking For
* Has experience in safeguarding, SEND, and multi-agency working
* Communicates with empathy, clarity, and confidence
* Can lead others while staying grounded in the needs of students
* Believes that education opens doors — especially when others have closed
