Research and External Engagement (REE) is a new integrated service dedicated to driving forward the Universitys ambitions for, research, innovation, skills and enterprise. This professional service works to support our students, drive research excellence, upskill and reskill the regions workforce, strengthening relationships and engagement with our alumni, business and community partners.

Through cutting-edge research initiatives, hands-on learning opportunities, strategic partnerships, civic leadership, and skills delivery, we will empower individuals to thrive in an ever-changing world

The Civic and Inclusivity team within REE will develop and deliver the Universitys civic and social impact ambitions, identifying opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration with regional government, civic and community partners. The team will develop and deliver projects and activities that create social value, inclusive growth and opportunities for all, enhancing student and staff experiences through community engagement, voluntary action, and enterprise-driven social impact.

The Civic and Community Engagement Coordinator will develop and deliver impactful partnerships with civic and community organisations across research and innovation, skills and enterprise. They will work to deliver high quality partnerships and outcomes that enrich the experience of staff and students, support inclusive economic growth and reinforce the Universitys commitment to inclusivity and civic & community impact.

About You

You will be a self-motivated and collaborative professional, passionate about civic engagement and social impact. You will have experience in working with communities and charities, developing partnerships with community and civic organisations, and have a strong understanding of how universities can contribute to inclusive growth and social impact.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team and contribute to UWE Bristols civic mission, making a difference to our students, staff and the wider community.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week.

This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is vital to our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus based for at least 60% percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
