Job Summary
Responsible for developing all education training content related to department stores & retail partners for product portfolio, retail & consultation, events, and customer service. Facilitate training and "train the trainers" in collaboration with field staff. Collaborate with Marketing on new product positioning and campaign messaging optimization. Collaborate with Digital on creating an education experience online.
Principal Accountabilities
BRAND TRAINING MATERIALS
* Develop all new launch materials to deliver to internal teams (Department store Beauty Advisors, Sales District Managers, Retailer Trainers, and Marketing & Digital members)
* Conduct monthly in-house training and field coaching ("train the trainer"). Hold ad-hoc alignment calls with field
* Develop a close relationship with the Korea-based HQ training team to adapt global curriculum and training materials to the UK market. Establish and share yearly training plans and report monthly training completion. Participate in monthly conference calls.
* Launch and maintain a content library for the internal team and field team
RETAILER TRAINING SUPPORT
* Create & update Retailer Brand Essential Videos
* Product Description Page support
* Plan and execute launch box / gratis-that-trains program, work with copy and design support on ad hoc training support material
* Develop content for new store opening training
* Develop Brand Training/Sales Modules (includes: monthly product focus, in-store animation and "fun" story about the brand)
* Participate at retailer major meetings/conferences/events (Education Summit, Store Leaders Conference, Train the Trainer Events)
* Interface with the retailer education team on a regular basis
ADMINISTRATIVE
* Manage Education budget and inventory, gratis, training material production, T&E
* Collaborating with PO in forecasting, ordering & shipping of Free of Charge product process, gratis, and department store uniforms
Key Experience and Skills
Qualification and Experience
* 4+ years of experience as a training manager in the retail industry. Candidates with prior experience in the beauty industry, especially with well-known retailers such as Space NK, Boots, and similar establishments, will be given preference.
* Understanding of industry, competitor brands and treatments, trends and changing customer behaviour.
* College or higher degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
Skill Sets
* Strong ability to create curriculum, training modules and presentations for delivery by the sales team using computers and productivity software.
* Good project management skills to facilitate coordination with multiple departments.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong work ethic, organisation, time management and content development skills
* Understanding of industry, competitor brands and treatments, trends and changing customer behaviour
* Willingness to learn and study all key information and characteristics of existing and new products
* Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a prominent face of the brand
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule and take significant local travels, and occasional international travel
* Leadership and mentoring skill
