Role Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator Welder Plater to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading engineering drawings, fabricating components, and welding to high standards, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and work from Tekla drawings and other engineering drawings and specifications
* Fabricate and assemble steel components and structures
* Carry out MIG welding to a high standard
* Use cutting, burning, grinding tools as required
* Plate work including marking out and fitting
* Conduct dimensional checks to ensure accuracy
* Must be able to work alone
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment
* Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies
* Work well within a team
Requirements
* Proven experience as a fabricator welder and/or plater in a workshop or site environment
* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
* Strong skills in MIG welding
* Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminium
* Competence in using fabrication machinery (e.g., press brake, guillotine, saw etc)
* Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Forklift experience is desirable but not essential
* Must work to UKCA BS EN 1090 Execution Class 3
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £19.00 per hour to £19.50 per hour
Experience:
* NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding
* 5 years experience
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (preferred)
* Forklift License B1 (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4pm
Overtime as and when required, paid at time and a half on a Saturday & double time on a Sunday (paid at this rate only once contracted 40 hours has been worked Monday - Friday)
