Paralegal (Commercial Property) Location: Stamford, Lincolnshire Salary: Dependent on experience Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.15pm (36.25 hours per week) A well-established and respected law firm is seeking an Experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to join its busy team in Stamford. The Role The successful candidate will work on a broad range of matters, including: Liaising with clients and handling enquiries Assisting with leasehold and freehold acquisitions and disposals Drafting and reviewing leases Carrying out due diligence, including title investigation and responding to enquiries Undertaking and reporting on property searches Liaising with agents and utility companies in relation to easements and transfers Preparing auction packs Managing exchange, completion, and post-completion tasks, including Stamp Duty Land Tax, Companies House filings, and Land Registry registrations Ensuring balances are cleared and files are closed at the conclusion of matters Additional Responsibilities Delivering ongoing service to existing clients Supporting colleagues to develop new business opportunities Contributing to the growth of the Commercial Property department and encouraging cross-referrals within the firm Meeting fee income targets and objectives Keeping up to date with changes in commercial property law and practice Maintaining and enhancing legal skills through ongoing professional development Managing financial aspects of matters, including billing and collection of monies on account Recording work and time accurately Ensuring all work is carried out in line with quality and risk management procedures About You Essential: Law degree or equivalent work-based experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and strong IT skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong planning and organisational skills Confidence in managing your own workload and meeting deadlines High level of integrity and attention to detail Desirable: Previous experience in a law firm, particularly in commercial property work Knowledge of case management systems Understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations Experience using Visual Files case management software Benefits The role comes with a competitive benefits package, including: Generous holiday entitlement Pension scheme Life assurance Income protection Employee assistance programme Staff discounts on legal services This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial property paralegal to join a busy and supportive team, working on a varied and interesting caseload.
