Your role as Area Sales Manager is to help increase sales and address customer needs within your specified region, by presenting company products and services to potential clients, and identifying specific consumer characteristics in order to better promote and sell the companys products.
To be successful in this role, youll need to be highly motivated to meet sales goals and have the communications skills to be able to grow and establish the companys reputation in your region. Youll be working with some large accounts, so some demonstrable experience in automation and control is preferred.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Maximise sales in your territory by identifying customer needs and recommending product solutions
2. Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within your territory
3. Identify local business opportunities and challenges
4. Develop and implement territory business plan in support of company goals and objectives
5. Develop and manage sales channels for all industrial vacuum products in support of territory goals
6. Conduct frequent customer visits either direct or jointly with channel partners
7. Document and manage sales activity incl. customer visits, opportunities etc. through Salesforce CRM
8. Conduct regular reviews with distributors and reps
9. Present company products and services to prospective customers
10. Provide technical support for automation and vacuum conveying product lines
11. Collaborate with other departments to cultivate and manage sales activity to meet sales quotas
12. Participate in company hosted hosted annual distributor/rep meetings, events, and activities
13. Assist when needed with trade show preparation and coverage
14. Report on regional sales results weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
Skills & Experience
15. 3+ years experience within technical sales
16. Strong knowledge in relevant industry markets
17. Diploma in Sales techniques
18. Work experience as a Sales Representative
19. Familiarity with the industry is desriable
20. Experience with CRM software
21. Excellent communication skills
22. Resilient with a proven track record in sales
23. Fluent English, both oral and written
