JobID: 210502024 Category: Product Development JobSchedule: Full time Posted Date: 2024-04-10T10:39:4000:00 JobShift: : The European Product Development and Documentation team sits within the Global Product Strategy and Development team and is responsible for developing and managing the documentation of JPMorgan Asset Management's Pan-European open-ended domiciled fund ranges which comprise over 215 funds across multiple umbrella structures, which are registered in over 36 countries globally with AUM in excess of $450 billion. The team is structured into three core functions: Product Development, Product Structuring and Documentation and Strategic Initiatives. Job summary As a European Product Development Manager you will be part of a team of product development managers dedicated to managing all material product development initiatives for European domiciled funds across multiple asset classes and investment desks. You will report to the Head of the Product Development Team. You will sit within a wider team of approximately 17 product development and documentation professionals, which forms part of the Global Product Strategy and Development team. This role offers you the opportunity to shape and influence our product development strategy, making a significant impact on our business. Job responsibilities Scope prioritised product ideas which include both new product ideas and enhancements/material changes to existing funds and merger/liquidations of funds. Review in depth competitor offerings to develop new product ideas in partnership with the Product Strategy Team. Assess market trends and competitor fund ranges and perform product research. Bring new funds to market including managing delivery across all functions within the business. Manage delivery of material changes to existing funds across all functions within the business. Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify and develop business cases for new product ideas and evaluate significant changes and enhancements to existing funds. Present initiatives to key internal governance forums. Develop and maintain relationships, in particular with the asset class investment desk(s), together with risk and compliance departments, operational teams, internal and external legal counsel, marketing and distribution. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience in the asset management industry with particular expertise in the development and delivery of investment management products. Credibility and proven ability to engage with stakeholders across disciplines (portfolio management, distribution, strategy, marketing and operations) to discuss and facilitate the delivery of projects. Sound understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience managing and delivering new products and product changes within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environment. Client centric mind-set with a commitment to integrity, fairness and responsibility. Influencing and interpersonal skills and comfort in working with people at all levels across all functions. Excellent written and verbal communication and an ability to articulate complex ideas, concepts, and solutions at a level appropriate and intelligible to the recipient.
