Job Description
This is a strategic leadership role driving licensing and regulatory excellence across major modular and fusion nuclear missions.
You’ll work directly with high-profile clients in the UK and abroad.
You’ll build and grow a licensing capability within a world-leading nuclear engineering group.
⚡️ Lead the delivery of nuclear licensing
⚡️ Represent Assystem and clients in consortia and integrated project teams
⚡️ Drive safety case development and licensing compliance frameworks
⚡️ Build internal licensing capability including recruitment and technical mobilisation
⚡️ Manage key regulatory interfaces with ONR and environmental bodies
⚡️ Contribute to strategic growth across Fusion and Modular Nuclear business lines
⚡️ Lead organisational design for licensed site conditions and regulatory requirements
⚡️ Support continuous improvement and digital innovation in licensing delivery
Qualifications
Essential Skills
Proven leadership in nuclear licensing roles
Experience managing regulatory engagement with ONR and environmental agencies
Strong grasp of site licence conditions and compliance arrangements
Understanding of nuclear baseline, competency, and intelligent customer models
Proven delivery in modular or fusion nuclear markets
Effective communicator with senior internal and external stakeholders
Track record in growing technical capability and leading teams
Degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline
Desired Skills
✔️ Experience with NSIP or major capital project frameworks
✔️ Background in collaborative ventures or joint delivery models
✔️ Knowledge of Owner/Architect Engineer functions
✔️ Commercial acumen in client solutioning
✔️ Exposure to novel or emerging nuclear technologies
