Placed by Leon has partnered with a globally known fine jewellery and watch brand on an exciting Deputy Manager opportunity.
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Boutique Director in driving business performance, leading the sales team, and ensuring a seamless client experience. You’ll take an active role in operational management, people development, and cultivating long-term client relationships—contributing directly to both the store's commercial success and its reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Support achievement of store sales targets by tracking performance and driving day-to-day results.
* Develop strategies to grow client relationships and optimise sales opportunities.
* Contribute to commercial planning through performance analysis and market awareness.
* Implement and monitor action plans aligned with business goals and KPIs.
* Assist in shaping the store team structure and participate in hiring and onboarding.
* Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to build individual and team capability.
* Oversee training needs and support staff development through structured feedback.
* Lead regular performance reviews and set measurable objectives for direct reports.
* Maintain open communication across the team to foster a collaborative work culture.
* Promote high standards in customer service and personalisation, reinforcing a client-first mindset.
* Ensure accurate and consistent client data capture to support CRM initiatives.
* Encourage team participation in client events and activations.
* Act as a key point of contact between the store and the Client Relations team.
* Maintain compliance with brand guidelines, policies, and operational procedures.
* Ensure team presentation and behaviour reflect the values and image of the brand.
* Participate in the setup and breakdown of boutique environments as needed.
Requirements
* Solid background in luxury retail, including team leadership responsibilities.
* Strong commercial acumen with a data-driven approach to sales and performance.
* Proven ability to develop teams and cultivate talent.
* Skilled in client development and delivering a premium service experience.
* Highly organized, with attention to operational detail and brand standards.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
* Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and events.
