Brief Description
Are you ready to make a real impact at the heart of Britain’s railway? At Network Rail, we keep the nation moving and our people are at the centre of everything we do. We’re looking for a proactive and passionate HR Business Partner Support to join our Wessex Route team – supporting the delivery of our people strategy and playing a vital role in shaping the future of our workforce.
In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced HR Business Partners to provide expert support across a variety of people initiatives, from talent management and succession planning to organisational change and project delivery. It’s a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a complex and unionised environment and is ready to bring fresh thinking and energy to our evolving HR function.

Key Accountabilities
* Provide proactive, professional HR support to the HR Business Partner teams and the business to facilitate value-added HR and the delivery of people/HR plans.
* Support HR Business Partner teams in talent management, workforce and succession planning, and performance planning, maintaining appropriate data within the associated processes.
* Support organisation change programmes through development and implementation phases.
* Provide project management support to track, measure, and communicate project timelines.
* Assist with research, reporting, analysis, and report production to support HR initiatives.
* Identify and develop solutions to continuously improve HR support to the business.
* Maintain up-to-date professional HR knowledge to contribute to operational and value-added HR initiatives.
* Take ownership of delivery within HR programmes and initiatives.
* Support HR teams with ad hoc administrative and operational HR activities.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
* Strong customer service skills.
* Experience in large, complex, and fast-moving organisations.
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Resilient, adaptable, and flexible.
* IT literate with strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
* Experience in event coordination and facilitation.
* Research and analytical skills.
* Strong relationship-building skills.
* Experience supporting HR initiatives and projects.
Desirable
* CIPD qualification or relevant HR support experience.
* Graduate calibre.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 plus Outer London Allowance of £1,900
