Reporting to the Assistant Principal for HE and Academic Standards this is a key role to support the college journey to "Beyond Outstanding". Managing a team of quality improvement specialists the post holder will lead on teacher development and innovation across the college along with formal teacher education programmes.
Building on the success of the College’s Ofsted Report, the successful candidate will bring a proven track record in teacher training delivery and teacher development through formal observations, CPD and pioneering action research. A keen interest in digital innovation and AI is an essential requisite to enable the college to build and lead in this evolving pedagogy to ensure an exceptional learner experience and success.
We are looking for an individual with demonstrable successful experience in a post-16 educational context who will bring enthusiasm and excellence to re-build and run and co-deliver the college teacher training offer. To also design the delivery of internal CPD teacher development programme and manage a team of quality improvement leads. The role includes oversight of the college formal teacher observation processes.
The person appointed will have a high level of expertise in post-16 education and training as a teacher trainer and a quality improvement specialist having worked as a teacher or curriculum manager previously.
This is also a key role to help raise the role and function of e-technology, along with AI, in teacher delivery to enhance the learner experience and support teaching professionals.
