Job Summary
If you are a first level Registered Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist who thrives working in a community setting, assessing and supporting people with their healthcare issues, this might be just the role for you.
Main duties of the job
You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help With You to develop, implement, and evaluate interventions such as harm reduction, support and advice in substance misuse clinics, assessment and review of prescribed treatment plans, detoxification advice, vaccination, and blood testing programs. You will also reach out to community members to offer proactive support and education.

Job Details
* Location: Truro, TR1 2EJ
* Salary: £41,200 to £52,530 per year
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Responsibilities
Work as part of a clinical team in a busy, rewarding environment, providing community-based substance misuse support, developing treatment plans, and engaging with clients both face-to-face and in outreach settings. Full training and induction will be provided for successful candidates, including those from other specialties.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse, or Registered Pharmacist (GPhC)
* Completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course and registered with NMC or GPhC
Experience (Essential)
* Prescribing experience
* Continuous professional development evidence
* Community nursing interventions
* Healthcare assessments, care planning, key working
* Teamwork and collaboration with external agencies
* Knowledge of substance misuse and its health impacts
