Associate Director - Water & Environment for Airports

Overview

As an Associate Director you will integrate technical specialisms to deliver joined‑up services that tackle environmental, engineering and sustainability challenges. You will champion high standards of performance, influence project development, and guide bid preparation to grow the business.
Your Role
You will lead on the delivery of key technical areas related to water & environment for airports, coordinating specialist inputs to ensure excellence in all we do. You will oversee growth in repeat business in areas such as surface water management, contamination investigations and groundwater compliance programmes.

About You
* Degree in a relevant discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred (focus on water quality, environmental chemistry or aquatic environment).
* Established and recognised leader in water and/or aviation industries with a strong record of consultancy or research experience.
* Technical standing in water quality and ecology across freshwater, estuarine and marine environments.
* Specialist expertise in EU and UK environmental regulation (Water Framework Directive, Priority Substances, etc.).
* Established relationships with academic and research institutes in environmental sciences.
* Creativity and innovation evidenced by published papers.
* Excellent scientific writing – clarity and adaptability for different audiences.
* Strong project and financial management skills.
* Chartered status (e.g. ICE, CIWEM, IEMA, CEnv, CSci).

Security Clearance
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
