Commercial Litigation Associate - Manchester
The Role
We are partnering with a leading City-led, international law firm to recruit an Associate with contentious experience to join their cross-office Commercial Disputes team. This role offers exposure to both national and cross-border disputes, working with clients across a broad range of sectors. You will be encouraged to think commercially, acquiring excellent technical expertise, client management and profile-raising skills.

The ideal candidate will have wide-ranging experience advising clients in commercial litigation matters through litigation, arbitration or alternative dispute resolution. The work type shall include but not be limited to a variety of disputes, including contractual and commercial claims, public law disputes, professional negligence, injunctions, reputation management issues and contentious insolvency matters.
The successful candidate will be expected to work with limited supervision but with the benefit of full administrative support.
The Candidate
* Commercial Litigation Associate with 4+ years PQE
* Experience in insolvency will be beneficial but not essential
* Contentious experience in a broad range of matters
* Assist partners and senior lawyers on more substantial or complex matters
* The ability to take on responsibility and manage own caseload, working independently when appropriate
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional and effective communication with individual and business contacts
