Job Description
I'm currently working with a leading global specialty insurer that is looking to hire an experienced Conventional Power Underwriter / Senior Underwriter to join their Energy & Power division in London.
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded team underwriting a global portfolio of conventional power risks, working closely with senior leadership to develop strategy and grow a profitable book of business.
The Role
You will play a key role in shaping and developing the Conventional Power portfolio, working with brokers and internal stakeholders to build long-term, profitable relationships across the London Market and internationally.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and executing underwriting strategy alongside the Head of Power
* Underwriting and managing a global portfolio of Conventional Power risks
* Building and maintaining strong broker relationships across the London Market
* Conducting portfolio analysis and steering the book toward sustainable profitability
* Monitoring aggregates, exposures and catastrophe management
* Representing the business in market meetings, industry events and international travel
What they are looking for
* 10+ years' experience within the Power insurance market
* Strong technical understanding of Conventional Power risks
* Established broker relationships within the London Market
* Strong analytical and portfolio management skills
* A proactive and collaborative approach
