Land Manager – Tunbridge Wells (covering Kent and East Sussex)

The Role
We're looking for an experienced and driven Land Manager to join our regional team based in Tunbridge Wells. You'll play a pivotal role in identifying, appraising, and securing residential development opportunities across Kent and East Sussex, helping to shape the growth and success of our business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in land acquisition and planning who's ready to lead negotiations, collaborate across departments, and build trusted relationships with agents, local authorities, and landowners.
What you'll do
You'll be responsible for sourcing and appraising new residential development opportunities across the region. Activities will include:
* Identifying development opportunities through personal networks, property agents, and direct approaches.
* Collating build costs, market research, and local planning policy information to support successful negotiations.
* Evaluating development sites and working closely with legal teams on acquisition terms, development agreements, and options.
* Representing Dandara in meetings with local authorities, stakeholders, and community groups.
* Collaborating with technical and commercial teams to ensure design and delivery are commercially viable.
* Managing and coordinating external consultants.
* Supporting land promotion opportunities to drive business growth.
What you'll bring
* A proven track record in land acquisition, with at least 5 years' experience.
* Strong understanding of the planning system, policies, and precedents.
* Experience identifying and taking housing sites through the planning process.
* Established relationships with local authorities and key contacts across Kent and East Sussex.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
* A proactive, commercially minded approach and ambition to progress into senior management.
* RICS membership (desirable).
