Our client is a profitable, high-growth technology business that develops advanced AI tools for investment research. Their platform is designed for the world’s most demanding deal teams, helping them manage information and research more effectively. Following successful expansion in the consulting and private equity sectors, the business is now scaling its presence within the investment banking market.


The opportunity

Investment banking is a major strategic focus for the business. As the first dedicated seller in this space, you will define how the company approaches this market. You will spend your time engaging with senior leaders at bulge-bracket and mid-tier firms, demonstrating how AI-powered research can transform their workflows while adhering to strict compliance standards.


What you will be doing

* Vertical leadership: Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for the investment banking segment.
* Business development: Identify and close new business opportunities, managing long-cycle enterprise deals with values ranging from £100k to £2m.
* Stakeholder navigation: Build relationships with Chief Compliance Officers, CTOs, and Heads of Technology to navigate complex procurement and data security processes.
* Consultative selling: Run technical and commercial discussions that translate the platform's capabilities into measurable ROI for banking workflows.
* Strategic feedback: Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure the solution meets the specific regulatory and technical requirements of the banking industry.


What success looks like

After 12 months, you will have secured several landmark banking clients and established a repeatable sales motion for the vertical. You will have successfully navigated the complexities of global bank procurement and positioned the company as a key partner for banking research teams.


What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates from one of the following backgrounds:

* The fintech specialist: You have a track record of selling enterprise software, data, or information services into investment banks and are comfortable managing six and seven-figure deals.
* The banking professional: You have worked in investment banking at a senior level and have transitioned into a commercial or business development role with a strong network in the sector.


Requirements:

* High levels of credibility when speaking with senior banking stakeholders.
* The ability to build a pipeline independently without relying on inbound leads.
* A clear understanding of compliance, data residency, and the nuances of technology in a regulated environment.
* A disciplined and structured approach to managing multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
* Competitive basic salary and uncapped commission with significant upside.
* For those moving from an industry role, a guaranteed minimum is available for the first six months to support the transition.
