Location: Various client sites
Hours: Part-time (exact hours to be agreed)
Salary: £27k-£32k depending on experience (based on a FTE and will be adjusted to reflect the hours agreed for the role)
Electrical Contracting Parts Technician
As an electrical contracting parts technician working with CC Electrics, youll be responsible for quoting, ordering, warehousing, delivering and managing the inventory of parts needed by our engineers on client sites. Your people skills are just as important as your skills as a parts technician. The role is perfect for someone who loves interacting and helping others, and who wants to be part of a growing business.

Skills:
Understanding of parts, equipment, and their functions.
Communication Skills:
Ability to interact with the internal team (engineers and operations manager) and provide assistance.
Ability to engage with customers when on client site.
Ability to communicate effectively via email, WhatsApp, in person and phone
Management Skills:
Ability to manage stock, track inventory, and order parts effectively.
Skills:
Ability to organise parts, maintain records, and follow procedures
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to follow instruction/process
Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to parts and inventory
Experience working in electrical contracting company or electrical wholesalers
Familiarity with Big Change or other CRM systems would be an advantage
Current driving license
The role of an Electrical Contracting Parts Technician:
Management:
Maintaining stock, ordering new parts, and ensuring accurate records.
Dealing with returns or faulty parts
Checking vans of engineers to make sure they have standard equipment and are stocked at all times with standard list of parts
Regular stock takes to ensure holding right level of parts for current requirements
Service:
Assisting engineers (and occasional customers) with parts identification, sales, and providing technical advice.
Liaising with the office team when parts requests are made.
Supporting estimation process on quotes where there is a larger element of parts to be included
Processing:
Receiving and processing orders, collating orders and delivery to engineers or customer site
Reporting on purchase statuses - delivery times, managing customer expectations and communicating delays
Documenting order process and checklists
Parts Identification:
Identifying and cataloging parts, often using specialised software and catalogs.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding the technical aspects of parts and their application to provide advice or possible more cost effective, but quality alternatives
Warehousing: Storing, handling, and organising parts in our storage facility
Use of online tools to add job notes and other process activities
