Due to continued growth Reid Engineering LTD requires an experienced workshop joiner to join the team at our workshop based at Sandholes, Cookstown. The Joinery Workshop Operative is responsible for manufacturing and assembling high-quality bespoke and standard wooden products in a workshop environment. A successful candidate will be skilled in using a range of hand and power tools and fixed machinery to cut, shape, and join timber and timber-based products according to technical drawings and specifications.Duties and responsibilitiesRead and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and cutting lists to understand project requirements.Accurately measure, mark, and cut wood and other materials using both traditional hand tools and modern machinery (e.g., table saws, routers, sanders, etc.).Select the appropriate materials and tools for each task, ensuring an efficient use of resources and minimum waste.Assemble joinery components such as doors, panels and trusses, ensuring high-quality standards and tight tolerances.Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications before installation or delivery.Maintain a clean and organized workshop, and ensure all tools and machinery are kept in safe working order, reporting any defects.Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.Collaborate with the workshop team and management to meet production schedules and deadlines.Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and completed projects.

Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience working as a Bench Joiner, Joinery Operative, or in a similar woodworking environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach to work.
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans effectively.
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong practical skills and manual dexterity with the ability to use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and fixed machinery.
* Good mathematical skills for taking precise measurements and making calculations.
* A solid understanding of health and safety regulations within a workshop setting.
* Please note manual labour involved, including lifting and handling heavy materials.
* A full clean driving licence.
