Your Role as an ECT Chemistry Teacher
As a member of the Science team, you’ll:
* Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5 as you develop.
* Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that spark curiosity and develop students’ scientific thinking.
* Work with a mentor and receive regular feedback to support your professional growth.
* Support curriculum planning, contribute fresh ideas, and take part in collaborative department meetings.
* Encourage enrichment, helping with science clubs, competitions, and other events to promote a love of Chemistry beyond the classroom.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a newly qualified Chemistry Teacher who is:
✔️ Qualified with a degree in Chemistry (or a closely related subject) and holds or is working towards QTS.
✔️ Passionate about chemistry and enthusiastic about sharing that passion with students.
✔️ Reflective and open to feedback, with a willingness to learn and grow as a professional.
✔️ A team player who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive staff culture.
