The Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national security and defence. This is a dynamic role where you’ll help drive delivery momentum, working on cutting-edge engineering solutions that make a real difference to our customers and society. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
1. Manage scheduling, cost control, risk management, and procurement activities.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple disciplines to achieve project goals.
3. Support high-performance delivery within programme and project teams.
4. Drive progress against plans and deadlines.
5. Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days onsite and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Assistant Project Manager
6. Experience in a project management environment.
7. Excellent stakeholder management skills.
8. Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
9. Ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to change.
10. Drive and desire to make a positive impact every day.
Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager
11. PFQ and/or PMQ qualification or equivalent (desirable)
12. Other formal project management qualifications are advantageous
