An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Leasehold Disputes Solicitor to join a well-regarded regional law firm in Brighton. This role sits within a growing Leasehold Enfranchisement and Block Management team and offers the chance to play a key role as a specialist in a thriving and expanding area of practice.
The Role
The successful candidate will act as a dedicated expert in leasehold disputes, managing a varied and often complex caseload for landlords, managing agents, and leaseholders. You will work closely with colleagues across the wider property team while taking ownership of matters and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
Your work is likely to include:
* Service charge disputes and recovery actions
* Breach of covenant and enforcement proceedings
* Forfeiture and possession matters
* Lease interpretation and variation disputes
* Tribunal applications and representation before the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)
* Strategic advice on contentious enfranchisement and block management issues
This is expected to be a full-time position, offering a high level of autonomy alongside strong team support.
About You
* Qualified solicitor with experience in leasehold or property litigation
* Strong technical expertise in residential leasehold disputes
* Ability to operate as a specialist and trusted adviser in this field
* An existing client following or demonstrable referral network, or a proven track record of generating work
* Commercially aware, proactive, and confident managing matters independently
* Strong client relationship and communication skills
