Position Overview
Applications are invited for a University Assistant/Associate Professor in Robotics. The successful candidate will join the Information Engineering Division and lead a research programme in the broad area of robotics.
Research Focus
We invite exceptionally qualified candidates to lead a world‑class research program in Intelligent Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Visionary scholars driving foundational research in areas such as advanced sensing and perception, robotic control and cognition, robot dexterity (e.g. manipulation and locomotion), and embodied intelligence and machine learning are sought. A substantial research focus in one or more frontier areas is highly desirable: embodiment and design (soft, bio‑inspired, modular / reconfigurable, and nanorobotics); human‑robot collaboration (HRI, shared autonomy, personal robotics); and multiagent systems (swarm robotics, decentralized control).
Teaching Responsibilities
The candidate will contribute to the teaching activities of the Division, including those associated with the Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence MPhil programme and the teaching of Information Engineering and Robotics to undergraduate students.
