Location: Caerphilly, CF83 (Commutable from Cardiff, Nantgarw, Caerphilly, Newport, Bedwas, Blackwood, Pontypridd)
Salary: £38,000 - £40,600

Hunter Selection is working with a leading manufacturer based in Caerphilly. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business following recent growth and new product launches. The company is seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen their quality department.
This role is suitable for an experienced quality engineer familiar with product changes and continuous improvement initiatives. It offers excellent benefits and job security.
Responsibilities:
* Provide quality input for development and updates of Design FMEA and Process FMEA
* Assist in the manufacture of prototype parts
* Manage Customer and Supplier APQP documentation
* Support the approval of Customer PPAP documentation and report writing
* Develop Control Plans and Operating Instructions
* Collaborate with customers to support quality actions
* Lead continuous improvement projects
* Support customer concerns during NPI and mass production using 8D principles
* Assist with ISO 9001 audits
* Inspect components using manual measurement tools such as micrometers, callipers, height gauges, and thread gauges
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001
* PPAP and APQP experience
* Auditing experience
* Previous experience as a quality engineer
