Job Purpose
The Interior Fit-Out Joiner is responsible for the manufacture, installation, and finishing of high-quality joinery components within commercial, office, hospitality, and residential interior fit-out projects. The role requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to deliver excellent finishes in line with design specifications and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and work from technical drawings, design specifications, and site instructions.
* Manufacture, assemble, and install bespoke joinery including wall panelling, partitions, doors, ceilings, furniture, counters, and fixtures.
* Ensure accurate measurement, cutting, and fitting of materials to achieve seamless finishes.
* Carry out site preparation and coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely.
* Apply appropriate finishes (e.g., sanding, laminating, veneering) to achieve client requirements.
* Troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges on-site.
* Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
* Follow health & safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
* Conduct quality checks and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
Skills & Requirements
* Proven experience as a Joiner in interior fit-out or related sectors.
* Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, tools, and materials (timber, laminates, veneers, composites, etc.).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* High attention to detail with a focus on delivering premium finishes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Flexibility to travel and work extended hours as required.
* CSCS card and full UK driving licence (preferred).
Desirable Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
* Experience in high-end commercial, office, or hospitality fit-out projects.
* Knowledge of additional trades (basic electrical, plastering, or flooring) is an advantage.
Working Conditions
* Site-based role across multiple locations.
* May involve early starts, late finishes, and weekend work depending on project demands.
* Manual handling and working at height may be required.

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
