KS1 Primary Teacher – Year 1 – Poole, Dorset
Are you passionate about laying the foundations for lifelong learning? GSL Education are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic KS1 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Poole. This full-time position is for a Year 1 class, with a September 2025 start, and is open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners.
Before the formal interview stage, shortlisted applicants will be offered a tour of the school. Interviews will be conducted over the next few weeks.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver creative and engaging lessons to meet the needs of Year 1 pupils.
* Plan, assess and adapt teaching to support a range of abilities within the KS1 framework.
* Foster a nurturing and positive classroom environment that supports academic and emotional development.
* Work closely with teaching staff, support assistants, and parents to promote consistent progress.
* Monitor and record student outcomes to inform future teaching and pupil development.
* Contribute to school life through participation in events, staff collaboration, and wider school activities.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching practices.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young learners.
* Commitment to inclusive education and child-centred learning.
* Open to both Early Career Teachers and more experienced educators.
* Availability for a school tour and formal interview process as part of the selection.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
