Role overview:
Hybrid role, occasional travel to regional offices, extensive travel to sites accross the Midlands withpossible overnight stays
Supporting our site and field teams including contractors
You will be responsible for the SHEQ support functions, including but not limited to SHEQ compliance, audits and inspections, collection of KPI data, business systems, operational performance management
We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused, audit professional to support the SHEQ Manager & SHEQ Coordinator with internal and external audits
Has the confidence to challenge unsafe acts and, where necessary, take appropriate action
Duties & responsibilities:
The SHEQ Advisor will lead the way with the goals of the business at the forefront of their daily activities, taking direction from the SHEQ Manager.
Provide effective and high-quality health and safety advice to all employees and communicate regularly and proactively
Carry out site audits in conjunction with site supervision
Where required, attend client meetings as the SHEQ representative
Carry out internal training and undertake TBTs
Support with induction of new employees
Support with the Integrated Management System for Sureserve Energy Services to maintain compliance and ensure continuous improvement
Conduct incident investigations including root cause analysis
Continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system in relation to energy services, using the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventative actions and management reviews
Assist SHEQ Co-Ordinator with sub-contractor vetting
Assist SHEQ Manager in the preparation, review and updating of policies, procedures and risk assessments
Other tasks as required/directed by SHEQ Manager.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
NEBOSH National General Certificate / NVQ Level 3 in Occupational H&S
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Training Course (desirable)
Building industry knowledge & experience
Experienced with an IMS
Proficient in systems e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal colleagues, providing support, training and assistance as required
Confident and presentable with the ability to communicate with clarity and precision both verbally and in writing
A team player with the ability to stay motivated and pro-active while lone working
Must be able to understand company and client requirements and apply suitable solutions as required
Ability to work well under pressure, adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining focus on key tasks during busy periods
Decisive, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and focus on quality
Strong organisational and forward planning skills
Driving licence.

Fully negotiable salary in the region of £36,000 to £40,000 per annum
