Overview of the Role
I am a 26-year-old man who is wheelchair dependent and needs help in all areas of life including some personal care. I have a wicked sense of humour and I am Lego mad. I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and do not have movement in my arms and legs. I use a Bipap at night and sometimes during the day to help with breathing. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and change is difficult, so building trust and reliability with the PA is important. PAs who are reliable, consistent, and fun-loving would suit this role. This is a rewarding role as you will be joining a wonderful team of existing PAs and professional training will be provided.
